Kaleidoscope Music was established in 1996 and is owned and operated by Huda Hudia. After a successful DJ career throughout college he decided the next step was to start his own record company. Things went kind of slow for Kaleidoscope Music from ’96 to ’98 with only 3 releases. Then, by 1998, KM realized its potential with the release of Huda Hudia, “C’mon Breakdown.” This record sold more than 8,000 units and Huda Hudia’s follow up release, “Drop the Bass Now,” sold more than 6,500 units and was licensed 4 times to different CD compilations.

At around this time Huda Hudia and DJ Volume began working together as, The Hotheadz. DJ Volume, an already established producer and remixer from Ultimix Records and Poop Records, helped create the famed Kaleidoscope Music sound. DJ Volume brought his funky production style to Kaleidoscope Music and helped establish the label with his releases. The next artist to add to the Kaleidoscope Crew was DJ Fixx. Fixx was running his own independent record label at the time and jumped at the opportunity to join the Kaleidoscope Crew. The fourth artist to sign with Kaleidoscope Music was DJ Who. DJ Who had already established himself as a veteran in the dance music scene with countless & huge releases under the famed, Shaken not Stirred, record label. His addition to the label helped established Kaleidoscope as a crew of artists and not just a one man show. In late 2002, the fifth artist to get signed to the label was DJ Self. Throughout his career DJ Self has received numerous write ups in DMA magazine on many of his songs. He has also had write-ups in DJ Times. With a countless number of hard house releases he has decided to write exclusively for KM and has added funky breaks to his production techniques. The rest is history.

Today Kaleidoscope Music is making the transition into the future realm of online distribution. Huda Hudia continues to run the day to day operations of the label and is currently working with famed DJ/Producer Hero. Together they hope to revamp the Kaleidoscope sound and continue to be a driving force in the US EDM (Electronic Dance Movement).
